About Us

WakeMed Foundation Love Light Campaign

For over 30 years, members of our community have supported the programs and services of WakeMed Children’s by making a gift during our annual Love Light Tree holiday campaign. This year, we’re seeking to raise additional awareness for this special celebration honoring WakeMed’s pediatric patients by hosting Kick It 4 Kids. Your support of this event, through participation as a team member and/or sponsor, helps us provide the best possible care for our community’s tiniest patients.

Gifts to WakeMed Children’s support patient- and family-centered programs and services such as our Child Life program - providing play therapy and distraction activities for children during their stay at the hospital, renovation and expansion of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – adding 12 additional beds to care for more newborns and increase privacy for new parents by converting open-concept spaces to private rooms, and so much more!

WakeMed Foundation

WakeMed is commited to improving the health & well-bring of our community by providing outstanding and compassionate care to all. In support of this mission, the WakeMed Foundation’s purpose is to give back to the health system, our patients, staff and community in numerous ways. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of our patients, families and the community, and you can, too.
