Dana Green - Chair
Dana currently manages the marketing for Brasfield & Gorrie’s Raleigh office, where she is responsible for commercial division pursuits. Originally from Pitman, New Jersey, Dana ventured south to attend Elon University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications and minor in Psychology. She is an active Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) Young Professionals Network (YPN) member, where she has previously chaired both the Networking and Marketing Task Forces. In addition, Dana graduated from the GRCC’s Leadership Raleigh program (class 30) in 2015. She enjoys serving on various committees within the WakeMed Foundation including the annual Community Campaign and the Development Committee (at-large member). Dana is the Secretary on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit, Note in the Pocket, which aids in clothing children with dignity and love. Dana often describes herself as a creative marcom professional with an indulgent social media mind enhancing an interactive construction community. While a fiery Philly sports fan on the side, she is also a fanatic cheesehead (Green Bay Packers) with a passion for serving others. Dana currently resides in Raleigh with her husband, Jason, her son Beckett, and their adventurous pit bull, Lady.
Katherine Carlton - Vice Chair
Katherine was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from N.C. State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and currently works at Investors Management Corporation. She has been an active member of the Friends of WakeMed since it's inception. In addition to being the Vice Chair of the Friends of WakeMed, Katherine also serves as Co-Chair for the SAFEchild Young Ambassadors, an organization aiming to support SAFEchild's mission of eliminating child abuse in Wake County, as well as volunteering for their Nurturing Program for Parents. She enjoys working with great people for great causes in our community. Katherine enjoys hanging with her Basset Hound, Sophie, and is an avid Wolfpack fan!
Kristen Kirby - Events Chair
Kristen is an associate at McGuireWoods, where her practice focuses on public finance transactions. She graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics in 2005, and received a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University in 2009. Kristen has been a member of the Friends of WakeMed since its creation. She is also very involved with the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, serving as the Division Director for the Pro Bono & Public Service Division of the YLD. Kristen currently resides in Raleigh with her two dogs, Max and Spud.
John Paul Godwin - Events Vice Chair
John Paul grew up in Dunn, NC and attended college at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and then law school at Campbell University. John Paul is an attorney with the law firm of Hardison & Cochran PLLC in Raleigh. In addition to his involvement with Friends of WakeMed, John Paul is actively involved with his church and also with the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network where he is chair of the Community Involvement Task Force.
Lori Allen - Membership Engagement Chair
Lori grew up in eastern North Carolina before attending college at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended The University of North Carolina School of Law. Lori is a partner at Young Moore and Henderson, P.A. in Raleigh, where she practices workers’ compensation and employment law. Lori is an active member of her church, enjoys traveling with her husband, and loves all things Carolina.
Ashley Stallings - Membership Engagement Vice Chair
Ashley, a native of Eastern North Carolina, is a graduate of Meredith College where she received a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Ethics and the Public Interest. Ashley currently holds the position as the Events and Community Relations Manager for Midtown Events, a division of Kane Realty Corporation. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends, family and her sweet pup Finley. In addition to the Friends of WakeMed, Ashley is actively involved with the Wake County Boys & Girls Clubs and enjoys any opportunity that allows her to meet new people and give back to the community.
Emily Goodman - Signature Events Chair
Emily is a workers' compensation defense attorney at Willson Jones Carter & Baxley P.A. Native to Wilson, North Carolina, Emily grew up volunteering through her church and schools. She has always believed service of others is the key to a successful society and internal peace. Emily has been a member of the Friends of WakeMed since 2015.
Mitchell Scott - Signature Events Vice Chair
Mitchell founded CECM in 2017 after five years of investment experience at KDI Capital Partners where he was an Analyst and the Portfolio Manager of the Focused Distribution Product. Previously, he was a senior analyst with Anchor Capital, a private investment management company focused on micro to small cap U.S. equities. Mitchell graduated cum laude from Clemson University in 2003 with majors in Economics and English and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina in 2008. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2014. Mitchell has been quoted in the Value Investor Insight periodical and is a member of the Value Investors Club. He previously held his series 7 and 63 licenses. He is currently the Chairman of YMCA of the Triangle Investment Committee.
